What to Bring

Drawing of a pair of worn work boots with scuffed soles and creased leather

All our hikes require proper hiking boots. In the west of Ireland we are blessed with wilderness, and this also means we have to protect our legs and feet with proper footwear

Bring waterproofs to our hikes. The weather on the Wild Atlantic Way can change fast, so a waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers are a must

Illustration of trail food items including a water bottle, grocery bag, ham and cheese, an apple, trail mix, oat and honey tube, and a package of crackers on a cloth.

Take enough food and drinks with you. Hiking in the west of Ireland can be demanding, so make sure you can (re)supply the needs of your body
